Greg and Linds

We were lucky enough to have these 2 intelligent, and definately talented University of Wyoming (we won't hold that against them "GO BIG RED!) college students to come visit us over Labor Day.  Yes we made them endure (it wasn't that bad) the Husker game.  Made them walk to the zoo where there were more people than we have ever seen before and a 40 minute line at the best ice cream place (Ted and Wally's - shout out to Shelli) in Omaha.  However, it was a good time had by all as they bonded with their niece and nephew who keep all on their toes =)
Tried to get a pic with the giraffes for their mother - since the weather was perfect - the crowd was not.  Could never have imagined that we would have such a great opportunity to bond with my lil' bro and sis (who by the way are both taller than I, as predicted) and help them to get to know our kids.  They have grown into some pretty great people and I am excited to watch them continue to grow - all 4 of them since I can remember when both Greg and Lindsey were my kids age - how time flies!

The Bubba

My not-so baby boy...goodness...hard to believe that just 2 short years ago we moved his sister into a big girl bed to prepare her for the new arrival.  Now we have a sweet, biting (boo), little charmer who loves trains, cars, his blanket, and books.  Here is a glimpse into night time in his "Choo-Choo" PJs.
Who can resist this kid?

Air Show

So finally after 2 attempts due to a severe thunderstorm, we made it to Offut Air Force Base for the last 30 min of the air show.  Offut was where President Bush flew on Sept 11, 2001 - kinda scary.  Anyway, we were lucky enough to take our plane-loving son to see more planes within reach than he had ever seen.  He loved it.  Here is a pic of a proud dad and sweet son.
Mommy and the babes - the air show reminded me of Billings - living on the Rimrocks and not ever having to go to the air show because they all flew over my backyard while I was playing Home Run Derby with Josh and his friends.  Next year we can make it for more than the last 30 min =)

And a scary plane from Arkansas - can you see the Razorback resemblance??

Puppeteer and Boats

At the Children's Museum, Hannah had a great time being a puppeteer and drawing butterflies on her face and lips on her arms...so sweet.
Driving the boat with his cars tattoo...look out ocean!

"All About Me" Pre-school Project

This month at pre-school it is "all about me."  Last week, we
filled out a questionnaire about what we looked like (hair color, eye color, name, etc)
along with favorite foods, activities, and who is in our immediate family.
This week our homework for Wednesday was to make our house.
A large piece of construction paper was sent home and we could use whatever we wanted
to make our house.  With some help from a great teacher we know, we came up with
using some pasta, beans, and mustard seeds to help make our house.
We also used 1/4c white vinegar with 3-4 drops of food coloring to color the pasta and rice.
Such a fun project.  As you can see, Hannah was very intent on getting this project done right.

Still concentrating...

One side of the finished product.  Can you even handle how cute the butterflies turned out?

The house - windows, door and all.  Will be totally interesting to lift this up.
The sun may look more like the sun Hannah made and a little less rice and mustard seed door density =)

Just a little bit proud...
And of course, E had to get in on the action.
Admiring his truck...

Hamming it up...yes, he may have eaten green rice...only time will tell =)

The finished product - Eli's Big Rig Truck

Buzzin' Cousins

We were so lucky this past week to have our cousins from California come and play!
Caitlin starts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Monday so she and Sydnee came to play a week beforehand.  Drivin' the fire truck at the Children's Museum.

Monkeying around at the zoo.

Our big girl on the carousel at the Children's Museum.
A not-so-sure little boy on the carousel...

Playing at the slides in Downtown Omaha...

Slidin' with E...

Super finish!
Last, but not least...
