Daddy thought it would be fun to sit me in the chair with the remote...a projection of things to come or I want to be just like him when I grow up?
Still serious. I smile most when I am sleeping, but am working on it...I am only 6 weeks and 1 day.
TV lights are sooo cool!

New Boots & Reading
After dinner the other night, Hannah wanted to try on her new snow boots. She then proceeded to read to us while we talked at the dinner table. Sweet kid!
When she reads, she always shows us the pictures. The miracle of daycare...she reads just like her teachers do there. What a stitch!
This one is a real page turner!

A House Divided...
Go Big Red! Touchdown! (Grandma Kathy is visiting this weekend and Nebraska just happens to be playing KU this weekend. Hence the Jayhawk shirt. Our poor child is being torn between "Go Big Red" and "Go KU." Hannah prefers the Jayhawk...Rock Chalk Jayhawk.... Anyway, may the best team win today with one confused toddler.)

Raking Leaves with Daddy!
Living on Oak street and having a GIANT oak tree in the backyard has allowed our yard to be covered with oak leaves. Hannah wanted to get in on helping Derek rake.
Cheesy smile for our raker...
I may think I am big, but this dwarfs our baby girl next to these large bags of leaves!
I'm up to my knees in leaves!
Running through the leaves. What a helper!
I'm not so sure about this pose...
Look at me daddy!
MMMMmma! Say goodbye to all of those leaves!

NU over OU - 10 to 3!!!
This is Eli watching the Husker vs OU game over the weekend. Like the rest of us, it was giving us a headache to watch the offense!
Hannah and her spaghetti face and "pony" rooting for BIG RED!
Whoa! They are actually winning says Eli.
All this suspense has made me exhausted. Go Big Red!

Happy Birthday Hugs for Mommy from Hannah and our 1 month old Boy
Hannah hamming it up with "E-I." This is how she feels about her new "bro-der" most of the time. She is a good helper bringing blankets, burp rags, and diapers for us. When Eli spits up she tells us that "E-I spilled." She lets us know that "E-I is sad. He crying." She likes to say "SHHH E-I" and "It's ok E-I." She loves to hold him and play peek-a-boo with him. We can't believe he has already been here for a month.
Here is our sweet boy at 1 month. He slept from midnight until 5 am...what a surprise.
We will get him to smile...just very serious today, but he is opening his eyes a lot more! He stays up for about 3 hours 3 times a day and the rest of the time sawing logs or eating for an hour at a time...takes his time...on his terms. How is it that I have 2 children who want things done on their own terms? Not sure who that came from (wink).
Being sweet being held by daddy. He is around 11 pounds...that is 3 1/2lb weight gain since birth and that doesn't include the weight loss...keeping his mother busy =)
